Antique Japanese Accessory: Hakoseko with Phoenix Embroidery
This is an old hakoseko, approximately 85 years old. It is believed to have been an accessory for my grandmother's wedding attire.

Height: 7.5cm, Width: 11.5cm, Depth: 2.5cm
★The hakoseko originated in the Edo period when samurai women would carry cosmetic tools and other items inside it, tucked into their kimono.
It is now considered an accessory for bridal attire and for Shichi-Go-San (a traditional rite of passage for young children).
We would be very grateful if antique collectors, old kimono enthusiasts, or anyone interested could utilize this for photography props.
A dedicated paulownia box is included, but one side of the box has detached.
